Pallante, Register of Copyrights for the U.S. Copyright Office, about her November 2011 meetings with motion picture executives in Los Angeles. In light of recent news reports of allegations by a former Library of Congress employee claiming he was fired because of his sexual orientation, Rep. Lofgren ended her Q&A session by asking each of the division heads testifying to say what steps they are taking to ensure employees are not discriminated against based on race, religion, gender or sexual orientation.





Rep. Lofgren is the top Democrat on the Oversight Subcommittee.
