There are a lot of businesses that would love to see those numbers - and they aren't whining, and wining and dining Ministers, MPs, and senior officials for extra strong interventionist windfall monopoly rights.
The digital track sales are particularly impressive.

It is interesting to observe that Catalog & Deep Catalog Digital Albums combined supplant/exceeds Current Digital Albums Sales.
ReplyDeleteAlso interesting to note, is that the top 200 digital tracks accounted for 20% of all tracks downloads.
I believe one can interpret both statistics as probent examples of Chris Anderson's Long Tail Model.
