As I tweeted earlier:
We are fortunate indeed to be in Canada for many reasons, not least of which is that we have have not jumped over the term extension cliff to the life plus 70 year regime designed for Disney that the USA and Europeans have adopted. Many Nobel prize winning economists have shown that there is no public policy rationale whatsoever for the the longer term.

It would be a very great pity and cause an enormous controversy if Canada were to agree to the longer term as a result of demands in a trade treaty, such as CETA or TPP.
