NPR on ASCAP & Torture Royalties
A reader named Andy has kindly pointed out that my point about ASCAP and GITMO was a lead item on a recent National Public Radio quiz show on July 19, 2008. Here's the segment.
There's even a Canadian angle - they talk about Celine Dion.
Gitmo is such a spectacular assault on all flavors of common sense that having artists' music being played -illegally- to torture detainees makes it just that much more insane.
The American people need to reclaim full control of their country because it's been going in all the wrong directions, in the past few years...
